Wildlife Friendly Fence Project

Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation

Help reduce barriers to wildlife movement and migration by removing obsolete fences or making wildlife-friendly modifications to existing fence with volunteers and staff from the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation. Full or Half Day Projects Available + No prior experience needed.

2025 Wildlife Friendly Fence Project Dates:
June 7th and 21st, July 9th and 19th, August 2nd, 16th and 28th, September 10th and 20th, and October 4th.

Bird Banding

Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation

Observe professional bird-banders capture, band, and release songbirds to better understand long-term population trends in the Rocky Mountains. Spots are very limited for this popular event, so sign up early. Registration required.

Invasive Weed Removal Project

Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation

Invasive weeds can crowd out native plants and deprive wildlife of traditional food sources. Play a role in helping control the spread of invasives and spend a fun morning outside in the mountains by volunteering for this project. No experience is needed and all ages are welcome. This is a half-day project.

Help Trout Unlimited with Native Trout Conservation

JACKSON HOLE TROUT UNLIMITED AND JACKSON HOLE WILDLIFE FOUNDATION

Volunteers will work with Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited and the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation to help build fence pods to protect small areas of riparian vegetation at a recent stream restoration site in Bondurant along the Hoback River. No experience is needed.
